1805 – Dirichlet – bio

Lejeune Dirichlet (Johann Peter Gustav Lejeune Dirichlet) was born in Duren (then in France, now in Germany) in 1805 and was a mathematician. He was credited with creating the definition of a function and with contributing advancements to the analysis of Fourier series.
